In the heart of London’s exciting and transformative Nine Elms and Battersea districts, and only a stones throw from the Battersea Power Station, The Lark is a dedicated build-to-rent development. Set amidst regenerated green-space, and minutes away from public transport, restaurants, gyms and shops, The Lark offers a central London location, with a relaxed but contemporary community atmosphere.
With a linear park cutting through the entire space between Vauxhall and the Battersea Power Station, the new London suburb of Nine Elms has a distinctive natural feel to it, despite the many appartment buildings scattered through it. The park life theme runs through the development, and is the inspiration for the name The Lark, and the postive, energised mood of the brand and the space itself.
The identity we developed uses the silhouettes of the bird as a key feature, as well as a series of illustrations of bird boxes that represent the concept of the unique and relaxed homes being offered to the habitants of The Lark.
The very cute bird boxes, and all the graphic elements of the identity have been animated to be used in social media and online
The interiors of The Lark feature a number of art installations that we created based on the identity and a comprehensive signage and wayfinding system that effortlessly guides residents and guests through the space.
We created this bird-on-a-wire artwork using The Lark illustrations, fashioned from steel and fitted into the wall of the concierge.
