What's #BehindtheB?
March was B Corp month, and the theme was what’s #BehindtheB?
Being a #BCorp means valuing your workers, customers, environment, and community as much as your profits (or more!) — and having corporate governance that keeps those values in place.
At The Plant, we're very proud to be BCorp, and we asked everyone here what that meant to them. So, here’s what being part of the B Corp community means to all the crew at The Plant.
------
'Becoming a B Corp feels like a really significant achievement for us. Worth the effort, worth the pain, worth the tears!
And like a good wine or a well-cooked meal, it's something we want to share.'
------
'We all need to play our part in protecting the World for our children, grandchildren and future generations to come. Working for a B-Corp organisation, it shows a stamp of approval that we are all committed to make this happen.'
------
'Being a B Corp means we can attract more clients who care. It’s rewarding to know that the work we do helps companies with a commitment to positive change be successful.’
------
'I am proud of being a part of a B corp organization because we are committed to important issues of sustainability. We are socially conscious and we create meaningful, purpose-led brands that have environmental benefits as well in the future.'
------
'It’s all about being open and transparent, and how we as a business can drive to have a positive impact on the planet and people. It’s also about exploring sustainable practices and having the opportunity to use design to create a force of good.'
------
'For me, one of the greatest things about working in a design studio that has the B-crop status is knowing their values, mission and ethos align with mine. It's also a satisfying feeling knowing the work we do is purely not based on profit, but also for the betterment of our environment and planet.'
